It’s competition time once again, and this week we’re giving away THREE pairs of tickets for upcoming screenings of Susan Jacobson’s new UK horror, The Holding (2011) at London’s Prince Charles Cinema. The Holding – which premiered at this year’s Film4 FrightFest – is released in the UK on 9 September, and you could be on your way to a screening of the film on the 10, 13 or 15 September – simply follow the instructions below.
Sometimes our worst secrets can’t be buried. Sometimes, what we think is the right thing to do can be the most dangerous thing of all.
Cassie Naylor (Kierston Wareing) killed her husband to protect her daughters from him. Eight months later, when the charming drifter, Aden turns up, her terrible secret comes back to haunt her in the most horrifying and unexpected way.
The Holding is a burning thriller about the destructive nature of secrets and the shocking lengths people will go to fight for what they value most in life.
From award-winning filmmaker Susan Jacobson, The Holding is an original story conceived and written by James Dormer. Starring Kierston Wareing (Fish Tank ), Vincent Regan (300 ) and David Bradley (Harry Potter). The film is set in the stunning English countryside and contrasts the beauty of the isolated landscape with the shady people that find shelter in it.
