Valentine’s Day is swiftly approaching, so why not bulk up your rom-com collection with newly released UK efforts Love Birds (2011) and You Instead (2011), as courtesy of Icon Home Entertainment we have TWO DVD bundles to give away. This is an exclusive competition for our Facebook fans, so if you haven’t already, head over to, ‘Like’ us, and then follow the instructions below.

Directed by Paul Murphy, Love Birds follows Doug (Flight of the Concord’s Rhys Darby), an ordinary guy who has never left New Zealand and whose long-term girlfriend has just left him. Dumped and wallowing in self pity, Doug’s luck takes a turn for the better when an injured duck crash-lands on his roof and he is entrusted to look after the sick bird. With help from eccentric vet Dr. Buster (Bryan Brown) and reluctant bird specialist Holly (Sally Hawkins), Doug discovers a newfound motivation and the belief in himself to finally allow true love to blossom. However, when his ex tries to come back into his life, Doug must learn a valuable lesson but is it enough for him to follow his heart.

BAFTA-nominated director David Mackenzie’s You Instead is a free-wheeling, rock ‘n’ roll rom-com set against an unforgettable weekend at Scotland’s T in the Park festival – filled with lust, mud, betrayal, portaloos and a hundred thousand people partying to the greatest music in the world. Luke Treadaway plays Adam, a strutting indie star and one half of a globally successful band.

Arriving at T in the Park for his latest gig, Adam finds himself accidentally handcuffed to Morello (Natalia Tena), lead singer for all girl punk band The Dirty Pinks. With no key in sight the feuding pair have to get through 24 hours as best as they can, delivering not one but two performances while having to placate a jealous girlfriend, an angry boyfriend and a lunatic manager.

To be in with a chance of winning one of TWO pairs of Valentine’s Day DVDs, all you have to do is answer this simple question:

a) Vera Drake
