Viewed by many as one of the coolest films of 2011 (with an electro soundtrack to die for), Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive – starring Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan and Bryan Cranston – comes to DVD and Blu-ray on 30 January, and to celebrate we have FIVE (count them, FIVE) DVD copies of the film to give away to our valued readers. This is an exclusive competition for our Facebook fans, so if you haven’t already, head over to facebook.com/CineVueUK, ‘Like’ us, and then follow the instructions below.
Since its world premiere at last year’s Cannes Film Festival – where Winding Refn was awarded the prestigious Best Director prize – Drive has earned worldwide acclaim from both critics and audiences alike. Adapted from James Sallis’ 2005 novel of the same name, this stylish neo-noir tells the story of a Hollywood wheel-man for hire (Gosling), stunt driving for movie productions by day, and steering getaway vehicles for armed heists by night. Driver soon finds himself a target for some of LA’s most dangerous men, yet determined to protect his kindly neighbour Irene (Mulligan) and her son alive by whatever means necessary.
With a stunning turn from Gosling in the lead-role and many memorable performances from a phenomenal supporting cast including Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman and Albert Brooks, Drive delivers a unique thriller that will live long in the memory.
The Blu-ray and DVD release of Drive contains the following special features: a Q&A with director Nicolas Winding Refn from the BFI; 2 x poster galleries – Capturing Drive: The Anatomy of a Film Poster & Reflecting Drive: Alternative Poster Designs; stills gallery; Drive in 60 seconds TV spot; and the UK theatrical trailer.
To be in with a chance of winning one of FIVE DVD copies of Drive, all you have to do is answer this simple question:
Ryan Gosling starred in which classic tearjerker?
a) The Notebook
c) Little Women
