Preview: First teaser trailer for ‘Radioman’

We welcome exclusives here at CineVue, so we’re particularly delighted to present the inaugural trailer for upcoming documentary Radioman (2012), which will premiere at the 2012 Hot Docs International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada on 30 April 30. The directorial debut of Mary Kerr and produced by Paul Fischer of Ten Cent Adventures, Radioman tells the story of a New York street bum who remarkably managed to overcame both his homelessness and alcoholism to become a regular fixture of the city’s film industry, complete with celebrity chums, an unparalleled information network and over 100 movie cameos to his name to date. Running in at 70 minutes in length, Radioman features never-before-seen interviews with Hollywood star contributors.

Legendary documentary filmmaker and Oscar-nominee Albert Maysles was also a consultant to the filmmakers on the production. This first teaser for this most intriguing of documentaries features many of the star names closest to the film’s titular homeless hero, with Oscar-winning actress Streep claiming that ‘Radio’ is “good luck for every production” and also “the most loyal, loving movie guy that there is.” Radioman will follow its world premiere at Hot Docs with a European premiere at the Krakow International Film Festival on 1 June, before being released internationally (including a limited UK theatrical release) in autumn 2012.
