Starring hit Hollywood comedians Will Ferrell (Anchorman, Blades of Glory) and Zach Galifianakis (Due Date, The Hangover), director Jay Roache’s American election comedy/satire The Campaign (2012) comes to DVD and Blu-ray this Monday (21 January) following last year’s UK cinema release. To celebrate this fact, we’ve kindly been provided with TWO Blu-ray copies of the film to give away to our funny-boned readership, courtesy of The Campaign’s UK distributors Warner Bros. This is an exclusive competition for our Facebook and Twitter fans, so if you haven’t already, ‘Like’ us at facebook.com/CineVueUK or follow us @CineVue before answering the question below.
When long-term congressman Cam Brady (Ferrell) commits a major public gaffe before an upcoming election, a pair of wealthy CEOs plot to put up a rival candidate and gain influence over their North Carolina district. Their man: naïve Marty Huggins (Galifianakis), director of the local Tourist Information Centre. At first, Marty appears to be the unlikeliest possible choice but, with the support of his new benefactors, a cut-throat campaign manager and his family’s political connections, he soon becomes a contender who gives the charismatic Cam plenty to worry about. As Election Day closes in, the two are locked in a dead heat, giving rise to escalating mud-slinging, back-stabbing and all-out war between the pair, with hilarious consequences.
Star of The Campaign Will Ferrell will return later this year in which hotly anticipated comedy sequel?
a) Anchorman 2
c) Step Brothers 2
