British gangland drama My Brother the Devil (2012) has put the spotlight firmly on writer/director Sally El Hosaini – winner of the Best British Newcomer award at last year’s BFI London Film Festival – and has established her as one of the UK’s boldest and brightest new filmmaking talents. To celebrate the DVD and Blu-ray release of El Hosaini’s My Brother the Devil on Monday 18 March, we’ve kindly been provided with THREE Blu-ray copies of the film to give away to our valued readers, courtesy of distributor Verve Pictures. Mo (Fady Elsayed) is a young boy growing up in a traditional Egyptian household, but beyond the front door of the family’s modest London flat is a completely different world – the streets of Hackney. The impressionable Mo idolises his handsome and charismatic older brother Rashid (James Floyd) and wants to follow in his footsteps. However, Rashid wants a different life for his little brother and will do what ever it takes to put him through college. Aching to be seen as a tough guy himself, Mo takes a job that unlocks a fateful turn of events and forces the brothers to confront their inner demons.
