An intense, troubling film boasting a spectacular lead performance from Marta Milans, Devoured (2012) calls to mind such bleak and visceral late-seventies New York urban dramas as Scorsese’s Taxi Driver and The Driller Killer in its expert depiction of alienation and escalating horror. To celebrate the DVD and Blu-ray release of the new film from Lemmy director Greg Olliver this coming Monday (16 September), we have THREE DVD copies of this gripping psychological horror to give away, courtesy of UK distributors Matchbox Films. This is an exclusive competition for our Facebook and Twitter fans, so if you haven’t already, ‘Like’ us at facebook.com/CineVueUK or follow us @CineVue before answering the question below.
An immigrant mother (Milans) leads a lonely and desperate existence, working as a cleaning woman at an old New York City restaurant in order to make enough money to pay for her son’s operation. With no friends or family around, her inner turmoil gets the best of her when malicious forces from the dark side start to invade her place of work. As her son’s ailment worsens, so does hers. She struggles to escape her inner daemons, before the evil within the dark walls devours her.
To be in with a chance of winning one of THREE copies of Devoured on DVD, just answer the following simple question:
Lemmy is the frontman for which successful British heavy metal band?
a) Black Sabbath
