Kieran Darcy-Smith directs Wish You Were Here (2012), an Australian mystery drama starring Joel Edgerton and Felicity Price. When Alice (Price) and her husband Dave (Edgerton) decide to get away from it all before the birth of their third child, they invite Alice’s sister, Steph (Teresa Palmer), and her new boyfriend, Jeremy (Antony Starr), to join them. A relaxing holiday is not what’s in store for the group, however, when a night of excess leads to Jeremy’s disappearance. To celebrate the release of Wish You Were Here, we have THREE copies of the film to give away on DVD to our valued readers. This is an exclusive competition for our Facebook and Twitter fans, so if you haven’t already, ‘Like’ us at facebook.com/CineVueUK or follow us @CineVue before answering the question below.
As investigations get under way into Jeremy’s vanishing, his fellow travellers raise suspicions with their vague and conflicting recollections of the night in question. Alice remains optimistic that Jeremy will surface alive and well. However, her husband and sister know more than they’re letting on. While enquiries continue back in the trio’s homeland of Australia, the dark and disturbing truth of what really happened in Cambodia is eventually revealed.
