An adaptation of the graphic novel written by Lukas Moodysson’s wife Coco, We Are the Best! (2013) revolves around three girls (Bobo, Hedvig and Klara) in 1980s Stockholm who decide to form a punk band – despite not having any instruments and being told by everyone that punk is dead. To celebrate the home entertainment release of Moodysson’s winning crowd-pleaser this coming Monday (28 July), we have THREE DVD copies of We Are the Best! to give away to our valued readers, kindly provided by the always generous folks at Metrodome Distribution. This is an exclusive competition for our Facebook and Twitter fans, so if you haven’t already, ‘Like’ us at or follow us @CineVue before answering the question below.

Bobo (Mira Barkhammar), Hedvig (Liv LeMoyne) and Klara (Mira Grosin) decide to form a punk band in the early eighties to air their grievances against society, with meaningful song titles like Brezhnev and Reagan, Fuck Off!. Moodysson portrays the turbulent punk era with lots of humour and energy. People of all ages can identify with these girls, who insist on not being a girl band, connected by their insecurities, embarrassing parents, unrequited love and feeling left out.

To be in with a chance of winning one of THREE copies of We Are the Best! on DVD, just answer the following simple question:

We Are the Best! director Lukas Moodysson hails from which Scandinavian country?

a) Denmark
b) Norway
c) Sweden
