Featuring one of the greatest ever fight scenes, Gareth Evans’ The Raid 2 (2014) – sequel to the 2011 original – brings the director’s darkly energetic vision to life with disturbing realism. The criminal underworld originally established in the first film escapes onto the streets of Jakarta bringing a whole host of new players to this deadly game of cat and mouse. To celebrate the release of The Raid 2 this Monday (11 August), we have TWO DVD box sets containing both The Raid films to give away, kindly provided by the generous team at Entertainment One. This is an exclusive competition for our Facebook and Twitter fans, so if you haven’t already, ‘Like’ us at facebook.com/CineVueUK or follow us @CineVue before answering the question below.
Following immediately after the events of The Raid, Rama (Iko Uwais) is forced to reinvent himself as an undercover cop in order to provide protection for his wife and child. Working for the anti-corruption task force led by the one person he can trust, Bunawar (Cok Simbara), Rama is given a mission to engage himself as an enforcer for a local mob boss, Bangun (Tio Pakusodewo). Finding a way in through Bangun’s son Uco (Arifin Putra), Rama must hunt for information linking Bangun with police force corruption. All the while, he harbours a dangerous and personal vendetta for revenge and justice that threatens to consume him- and bring both this mission and the organized crime syndicates crashing down.
The Raid 2 director Gareth Evans shot the film entirely in Indonesia but actually hails from which British country?
