Baftas 2017: La La Land dances to five awards

Damien Chazelle’s La La Land scooped three of the biggest awards at tonight’s Baftas including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress for Emma Stone. Elsewhere, Casey Affleck saw off the challenge of Ryan Gosling to win Best Actor for Manchester By the Sea, Viola Davis took Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fences and Dev Patel was a surprise winner of Best Supporting Actor award for Lion. Son of Saul pipped Toni Erdmann to Best Foreign Language Film and Best Documentary went to Ava DuVernay’s 13th.
